Description
Vintage Japanese silk haori in deep black, featuring a subtle decorative composition near the lower back.
The design includes traditional noshi ceremonial ribbons and an uchide no kozuchi, or lucky mallet. Both are associated with auspicious wishes in Japanese culture, with the lucky mallet especially symbolizing good fortune and prosperity.
Originally designed to be worn over kimono, a haori can also be styled easily with contemporary clothing such as dresses, knitwear, shirts, or denim.
