Vintage Japanese summer haori in deep violet purple, made from pure silk in a lightweight sheer weave designed for warmer weather.

Small, understated motifs are scattered across the translucent fabric, while the airy construction gives the haori a light and elegant appearance.

Originally designed to be worn over kimono, a summer haori can also be styled easily with contemporary clothing such as dresses, camisoles, linen separates, or denim.

There is a round area of discoloration on the right front chest; please see the photos for details.
The hem was previously loosened and has been hand-stitched back into place.
Aside from these points, the fabric remains quite clean and the haori is still beautiful and wearable.
