Vintage Japanese silk haori in a soft beige tone, featuring an all-over arrangement of traditional fan, floral, and decorative motifs.

The silk has a distinctive crosshatch and slub-like texture, giving the surface a softly rustic character and adding depth to the intricate pattern without a glossy finish.

Originally designed to be worn over kimono, a haori can also be styled easily with contemporary clothing such as dresses, knitwear, shirts, or denim.

Condition

Good vintage condition overall.
The outer fabric remains relatively clean.
The lining shows some age-related yellowing and one stain measuring approximately 1 cm.
Traditional white basting stitches called shitsuke ito remain in some areas. These temporary stitches were used to help preserve the garment’s shape during storage and can be gently removed before wearing.
